You can find your closest Golfers' Warehouse with our Store Locator! As the page title describes, I am reviewing the best golf shoes for wide feet. The reason I am reviewing wide golf shoes is because I have a very wide foot. I can sympathize with all of you golfers with a wide foot. I personally wear a EEE and prefer a EEEE shoe if I can find one. Having a foot this wide automatically eliminates many of the shoe companies.
mens tennis shoes sydneyThey just do not make golf shoes wide enough for us to wear.
best running shoes adidas The shoes I am recommending on this page are shoes that I actually wear. They are Footjoy, Ecco, and New Balance. (Yes, New Balance makes a golf shoe!) I have been wearing footjoy shoes since I was in high school. I started wearing Ecco golf shoes 5 or 6 years ago, when my brother became an Ecco golf shoe sales rep.

When it comes to a spikeless golf shoe, Ecco is the best. The latest golf shoe I have acquired is the New Balance golf shoe. I have worn New Balance tennis shoes/sneakers for years, and just got my first pair of golf shoes a few weeks ago. I have added a picture of my golf shoes below. There are 6 pair of Ecco, 6 pair of Footjoy, and 1 pair of New Balance. So what do I look for in a golf shoe: Width is obviously the first criteria. Can I put my wide foot in the shoe and be comfortable Secondly I look for a stable sole construction. This is very important with wide feet Thirdly I look for side to side support. This goes along with the soul construction Lastly I look for quality craftsmanship. Four pair of the shoes above are over 8 years old So let me run through the three brands of shoes and give my opinions. New Balance Golf Shoes: I will start with New Balance as they are the newest shoe in my collection. I saw them this year, 2015, at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.

I was very surprised when I saw there booth, because I didn't know that New Balance made a golf shoe. I have taught golf in New Balance tennis shoes for years, and love them because they come in a 4E. So my first question to the sales person in the booth was, Do your golf shoes come in 4E? Thankfully she said yes, then she looked down at my feet and said, "Oh MY". I was introduced to the VP of Sales and we discussed their shoes. I explained my predicament in finding shoes that are wide enough, and he felt my pain. He then gave me the information on how I could order a pair, which I did when I got home. I ordered the New Balance Golf Leather 574 style shoe, picturedThe shoe I wanted was the New Balance Golf 2002, but my size was not in stock and I didn't want to wait for them. So far I am very pleased with the shoe. I meets my first three criteria, and I will have to wait on the fourth one. It was funny, because the first day I wore them to the course, a guy that plays all the time noticed that I was wearing the same shoes he was wearing.

I asked him how he liked them and he said he loved them. He too had a 4E foot. The other nice thing about the New Balance golf shoe is you can find them for under $90. I have looked on Amazon, and they sell all the styles and have the best prices. So if you are in need of a solid, 4E golf shoe, and like a sneaker style golf shoe, take a look at the New Balance Golf Shoes Take A Look At All Styles Of New Balance Golf Shoes As I stated earlier, I began wearing Ecco Golf shoes shortly after my brother became an Ecco golf shoe sales rep (Nothing like a family discount). It wasn't long after he became the rep that Freddie Couples wore the Ecco Street spikeless shoes at the Masters, without socks. The shoes became the talk of the golf business. So I called my brother and asked why I didn't have a pair of Ecco Street shoes. Well I got my first pair and loved them, and have gotten four more pair since. I love the fact that I can teach lessons and then go play a few holes in the same pair of shoes.

They are also great for travel, because you can wear them like tennis shoes off the course. It keeps you from carrying two pair of shoes. Ecco then came out with the Biom Hybrid and Biom Golf shoe. I have two pair of hybrids and one pair of Bioms with spikes. These are better than the Streets. I especially love playing in the Bioms with spikes. They provide great comfort, support, and traction. When it comes to spikeless golf shoes, Ecco is the best. All the other manufacturers copied Ecco, but no one has made a shoe as good. One thing you need to know about Ecco shoes, they do not come in half sizes or widths. They claim there shoes will fit everyone. Well, that is not true. I have worn two other styles and felt like my feet were in a vice. The Bioms and streets will stretch and become comfortable. If you wear a half size, say 10.5, then order the 10's. They will fit you length wise. If you are like me it is not strange to have to stretch a shoe. Some will and some will not.

Trust me, these will. The Biom hybrids and golf shoes are made from Yak leather and are very soft and durable. I am only recommending the Biom and Street styles from Ecco, because I have never worn the others. But you will love either of these two. Prices range from $150-$200. ECCO Men's Biom II Golf Shoe Ecco Biom Hybrid Golf When it comes to golf shoes, Footjoy has been the shoe I have worn the most. I have worn them since I was in high school, and do till this day. It was only until I started wearing Ecco that I wore anything but Footjoy. My favorite Footjoy shoe was the Classic. It was there top line all leather shoe. It came in EEE and I could put them on, right out of the box, and walk 18 holes with out getting blisters. Sadly they stopped making the Classic several years ago. I still have two pair left and I treat them like a new born baby. The replacement for the Classic is the Footjoy Icon. The Icon is a great shoe. It is an all leather upper on a molded sole, and it comes in XW and XXW.

I have two pair of Icons with spikes and one pair that is spikeless. I teach in the spikeless pair. All three pairs are XW and fit great. I recently ordered a new pair, black with a lizard print saddle, in XXW. I am looking forward to receiving them and feeling the XXW. If I am playing golf in a tournament or go to a nice country club, I wear the Icons. They give me the best support in my swing and I feel very stable, plus they look very classy. The only draw back on the Icon is the price. They are $250-$300 a pair. So you need to be a dedicated golfer and really take care of your shoes before I would recommend them. If you want a pair of Icons, I recommend you order them from your local PGA professional. The other type of Footjoy shoe I wear is the Dryjoy. This shoe is very reasonably priced, and is waterproof for two years. I describe the Dryjoy as bulletproof. I have two pair, and have had them for over 7 years. I wear them when the weather is poor and the ground is wet, which in Mobile, AL is often.

I have finished many a round of golf with my shoes covered in mud. All I do is clean them off in the utility sink and they are good to go. If you are going to own only one pair of golf shoes, I would recommend them be Footjoy Dryjoys. They will last you a long time and remain comfortable. You can find Dryjoys from $89-$129.Offer valid for a limited time. How To Care For Your Golf Shoes: If you play golf more than once a week I recommend you have more than one pair of shoes. Rotating the golf shoes you wear will make them last longer. Also I do not recommend buying cheap golf shoes. Especially if you have wide feet. You will suffer if you buy based on price. I have recommended shoes that start out at a reasonable price and go up to some of the most expensive. I am fortunate to receive professional discounts on shoes, so I do not pay retail. But knowing what I know about these shoes. I would still buy them even if I had to pay retail. If you want your shoes to last a long time, you need to take care of your shoes.
