new nike shoes coming out in august 2012

Friday, Aug. 31, 2012 | ShoeZeum in Downtown Las Vegas Launch slideshow » The owner of the world's largest collection of Nikes is Jordan Michael Geller. Geller said it’s a coincidence his name is so close to the legendary Chicago Bulls player and the namesake of his favorite shoes. He picked up his interest in Nikes from a father who ran marathons and had to buy every new pair of Nike Air Jordans the moment they arrived in stores. Jordan Geller adopted his father's love for the shoes, too — so much so that he created a museum dedicated to them. The ShoeZeum, Geller's collection of 2,500 never-worn Nikes, opened Thursday in downtown Las Vegas. Ironically, the museum dedicated to athletic shoes sits in Neonopolis behind a fast-food restaurant named the Heart Attack Grill. A sports memorabilia store also is planned for the center. "I think this is a great place, especially across from the Toy Shack, which is all about rediscovering your childhood," Jordan Geller said.
As a child, Jordan Geller accompanied his father to the shoe store. "He would tell me all about the shoes," Jordan Geller said. Jordan Geller went to law school but never lost his passion for Nikes. new nike free golf shoesHe bought and sold them on Ebay, then used his profits to round out his collection. nike football shoes pink and blueHe said he has paid up to $7,100 for a single pair.walking shoes hiking boots When Jordan Geller passed the bar and became an attorney in California, his bar number sealed his fate. "Those were the three numbers Michael Jordan wore in his career," he said. "It was almost like fate, a sign I needed to do this." Nike's slogan is "Just Do It." The first ShoeZeum opened in San Diego last year.
“I thought it needed to be in Las Vegas, a place that had so many attractions,” he said. “I thought this would be a good place for more people to be able to see it.” The ShoeZeum's Facebook page has more than 7,800 followers. Although not affiliated with Nike, company executives have visited the display, Jordan Geller said, as has Ebay founder Meg Whitman. The ShoeZeum is open from 4 p.m. to midnight daily. Admission costs $10 and buys visitors a peek at 23 shoe exhibits with themes such as music, movies and the Olympics. There are Nikes designed in honor of the 1980s Michael J. Fox movie "Teen Wolf" and Guinness Beer Nikes. Jordan Geller built the display cases for the 7,500-square-foot space. His shoe collection is the largest in the world, certified by the Guinness Book of World Records. As for Geller's favorite pair, they are the only ones that have been worn — a game pair from Michael Jordan.By Jeramie L Bizzle This is the picture of the latest shoe by NBA Champion and Olympic gold medalist  Lebron James of the Miami Heat
Remember when the first pair of Micheal Jordan sneakers first hit the shelves, everyone flew to the stores to be the first to own what is now today an urban necessity. Forward over a decade later, there is a brand new NBA champ and Olympic gold medalist by the name of Lebron James who has caught a lot of flock for turning his back on Cleveland and Whining almost every game. His latest shoe entitled “Lebron X” has caused a stir in the media world for being sold for as much as over three hundred dollars in stores and online. Real shoe collectors usually camp out til midnight to get their hands on the latest fashion, but the price of the shoe leaves many thinking that it may create violence and people may be robbed over the shoe. According to Washington Post- “Nike tells stores to keep their corner in check and to beef up their security to keep things civil”. It’s hard to think how civil things can be when you have people standing out in the middle of the night with three hundred dollars in their pocket, yeah, real civil.
Students at Triton College recently partaken in a poll about the price of the sneakers and whether or not that they will go out on opening night to by a new pair of the last Lebron shoe. In that survey, only six percent said that they will go buy a pair of the shoes, while two percent said they maybe will buy it. Twenty-two percent say that they will stick to their Jordan’s, while a not so surprising Seventy percent said that they will definitely not pay no where near three hundred dollars for shoes, there were other personal answers but not any of them were censored. As of now, there is no exact release date for the shoe, but rest a sure that you will not see many college students in line for three hundred dollar shoes when they don’t even want to pay three hundred dollars for their books for class. The shoes are a contribution to the question “How much is too much?”, and in this case, Luther Vandross answered it by saying “Never too Much”. By Jeramie l Bizzle

The event begins from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. By Jeramie L Bizzle Over the summer, the new Capoeira class was offered to students who interested in learning about the Brazilian dance. The class offers the basics of the martial arts style of dance in addition to learning about the culture. Instructor Oliver Camacho sits with the 5th Avenue Journal to discuss the history, Misconceptions of the dance and more information about the class: What is Capoeira and how are things learned in performing the dance? It’s an oral tradition, its about you seeing, you tend to learn the traditions of the slavery, all those stories are learned through the movements such as the revolts. They are all embedded in the movements and the sounds that can be learned through the teachers and their students.
Distinguish the difference between Capoeira and break dance? Well dance rhythm is universal, no matter where you are. You are going to find similar movements in modernized dance. But its whole concept is social movement, social justice, because you are talking about oppression and trying to liberate themselves, just as in hip-hop. But you have to realize they are different because they are in different times and they have different elders too. What else will students benefit from joining the class? Its multicultural, you will have to learn a new language such as Portuguese, learn how to play the different instruments, and of course fitness, and you’re learning the game of attack and defense. It’s a lot about balance and coordination. It offers a lot of positive things about it besides the obvious. But students have to keep an open mind and remember that all the videos can’t compare to actually being in the class. Can you provide an update for the fall schedule so far?
