The new Shingle Creek Golf Club is definitely strokes and chips above a typical “hotel golf” course. Senior Golf Course Architect Thad Layton says the mission was to add strategy and variety to the golfer’s experience. New complexes and surrounds detail more closely-mown run-offs and chipping areas. Additionally, the greens themselves highlight a variety of slopes, nobs, and swales complimented by varying sizes from 3,500 to over 9,500-square-feet. The refreshed Shingle Creek golf course should prove more fun for the average player yet more difficult for the advanced player. Our playing surface has an adjustable tee already installed.  Players can adjust the height of the tee to suit their needs for their drivers and irons.

Can I wear outdoor footwear in the facility? Players should bring a clean pair of golf shoes or running shoes. Do you have club rentals available? We do have rental equipment available at no additional cost if you are unable to bring your own. How long does it take to play 18 Holes on the TruGolf Simulator? It takes approximately an hour for an individual player to play 18 holes. So, if you have more than one player you would probably want to book an additional hour for each player in your group.  For example, a foursome would normally book four hours of playing time for 18 holes. How far in advance should I book TruGolf Simulator time? We do recommend booking your simulator time 3-4 days in advance in order to secure a time. How do you charge to play a round of golf on the Simulator? We charge an hourly rate for both practice and play on the simulator. How much notice do I need to provide in order to cancel a simulator time? Since simulator time is in such high demand, cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.

Do I need to arrive a few minutes early? Player(s) should arrive at least 10 minutes early in order to provide you with enough time to choose a course.  We want all players to be able to get their round or practice started on time. Can children use the simulators as well? Children under the age of 16 can use our simulators, however, we ask that they are accompanied by an adult at all times. Where are the lessons and simulator located? Lessons and simulator use are conducted in the Champions Room located at The Golf Club at The Greenbrier. What is the season schedule for the simulator? The simulator will operate from November 2016 through March 2017.  We are currently trying to find a venue that allows us to operate it year round at The Greenbrier. What are the hours of operation? The indoor learning center is open from 8:00am - 6:00pm daily.
