running shoes with rollers

Propel 2.0 (Little Kid/Big Kid/Adult) Reviewer: from Long Island, NY Our first Heelys purchase for our eight years old son. After reading the reviews suggesting ordering a size up, we ordered the Big Kid size 4 since he usually wears a 3 or 3.5. The Navy/Yellow color combo is bright and saturated. He LOVES them...took him about one hour to get the hang of. I ordered a pair of these for my nephew for Christmas last year and boy was he excited! He had a little trouble at first but once he got used to the wheels in the back he looked like he was having fun. He didn't seem to have a problem converting them between the two functions. Launch (Little Kid/Big Kid/Adult) Reviewer: from Elmhurst, Il My 10 year old daughter got a pair for Easter and immediatly my 8 year old son wanted a pair too. Purchased a size 4 which is his normal size and the fit perfectly! Keeps him busy rolling around the block. Reviewer: from Elmhurst, ilMy daughter is ten and wears a size 8 to 8.5 with a wide foot.

I ordered an adult 9 and they were perfect with some room for growth. Very true to size. Brite pink was an Easter hit! Reviewer: from Westport, ct Great simple styling, my daughter can wear these regularly - some of the heelys shoes have an orthopedic look to them which these don't. Motion Plus Solid (Little Kid/Big Kid/Adult) My 11 year old son loves these! All his friends now want them too! Our 8 year old picked out the all black color. Took a few tries and falls to get used to the function but, other than the mechanics, the shoe felt comfortable right out of the box. The wheel is easy to put in. He wears shoe size 13.5 and we opted for size 1 Heelys which have some give but are generally the correct size. I would have preferred ankle support for safety, but he likes his shoes low. Reviewer: from New york Bought these for my 8 year old granddaughter. She loves them and hasn't taken them off since she got them (except to go to sleep). If you want to make a kid happy buy these!

I got these shoes last week, they arrived on time. I was afraid they were going to be small bit they fit well. They are tons of fun to use. Motion Plus (Little Kid/Big Kid/Adult) My son loves Heeleys and this is his 4th pair. This is comfortable and it's nice that the wheels can come off for school. We've purchased off brand skate shoes but their soles have worn down quicker not like Heelys. I can pass this down to his cousins and get good usage! My daughter is very pleased with her heelys, it can be difficult to get her to take them off. She was able to learn how to properly operate them and also is able to take the wheels out herself. Uptown (Little Kid/Big Kid/Adult) I bought these Heelys for my daughter, who is 8, because she wanted high-tops, and she likedThey are her new favorites, and she wants to wear them all the time. They seem very comfortable, since I haven't heard any complaints. The wheels are easy to take out with the tool they provide, and easy to pop back in.

They're pretty cute too! I think they run a bit small and maybe some wide so I would take that into account when ordering. Because they seem a bit wide, recommend getting the high tops when ordering Heelys. Reviewer: from Apple Valley, CA Our daughter loved her Heelys and they look exactly as pictured.

These were a great gift for my daughter! My son loved it.Many runners still roll around on rock-hard lacrosse balls to work out serious problem spots. So Pro-Tec tweaked the composition of its two foam balls—a higher density foam makes them firm enough for serious massaging power. The larger Orb Extreme (4.5 inches) is suitable for rolling out quads and hamstrings, while the “Mini” version (3 inches) isolates areas that require deep-tissue release. Trigger Point Grid Mini Foam Roller Big enough to roll out tight IT bands and hamstrings, the Grid Mini is also stubby enough to pack in your carry-on bag. Stuff it with socks—or toilettries, since it won’t easily crush—to maximize space in your suitcase. If the typical foam roller isn’t intense enough to target tight muscles, try this softball-sized orb of plastic and rubber. It has a strong motor inside that vibrates powerfully at three speeds.

We like the gentlest setting for rolling out back and shoulder muscles, but the stronger setting helps penetrate deep into muscles like your glutes. Sure, it’s expensive, but we found it invaluable when the miles of marathon training left us beat up. RELATED: The Proper Way to Use a Foam Roller This handheld takes the massaging stick one step further, using free-spinning steel ball bearings rather than flat beads to knead deep. The large handles and slightly rounded design help you hit hard to reach areas like the shoulders and back. Plus, the whole thing can be placed in the freezer for a cool massage that feels oh-so-nice on a hot summer day. This barrel roller has a unique construction that allows it to collapse flat—about the size of a laptop computer—so you can slip it into your luggage for any trip. When in use, the hollow core is rock solid, but the thin EVA exterior soothes sore muscles and the surface bumps help roll out knots. Addaday Type A+ Roller With its golf ball-sized knobs, the Addaday roller is easily able to dig into tight problem spots on your legs, arms, and back.

The steel rod that holds them together won’t bend, so you can really apply force where needed. Bonus: Neither the stick nor rollers grab leg hair. Like the Hypersphere above, the Vyper has a vibrating motor that helps shake out stiffness. But the construction is more like a standard foam roller, with a softer outer surface for rolling out large, tender muscles. Gaiam Restore Hot & Cold Foot Massage Roller This small foot roller pulls double-duty. Toss it in the freezer or in warm water before rolling out tightness or pain in your feet. We like the cold to combat plantar fasciitis, but a warm barrel can help loosen things up before heading out for a run. A spring-loaded frame with Rollerblade wheels clamps around your leg with some force, so you don’t have to use as much elbow grease to knead out sore muscles. While it’s great for legs, it can’t be used on every body part, so keep your other rollers and balls in close reach. Combining the benefits of ice and deep-tissue massage, this stainless steel ball is a chilling alternative to tennis balls.

To use it, chill it in the freezer for a few hours before rolling out aching muscles. We like it to soothe an achy plantar fascia. Moji Heated Foam Roller You’ll never look at that foam cylinder the same again. Moji created a two-piece design that collapses to fit in your microwave. Heat and snap back together for a soothing roll session. The company raised more than $100,000 on Kickstarter, blowing past its funding goal. $42, widely available in May 14 Foam Rollers, Balls, and Sticks That Help Get the Knots Out AmazonBasics High-Density Round Foam Roller Your standard foam roller remains a versatile choice for injury prevention, rehab, and even just for warming up muscles prior to running. The surface is firm to deliver a massaging effect, but gentle enough to use on sensitive areas. A 12-inch roller is good for rolling out calves and IT bands, while the larger 36-inch model delivers more stability when you apply more body weight. There are a lot of Stick-like products on the market, but the original remains a go-to item for day-to-day light massage.
